Female Family Safeguarding DA Worker

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Salary: £27,664 per year

Contract Type: Permanent and Full-Time (40 Hours)

Essential Requirements:

The successful Family Safeguarding Domestic Abuse worker will have:

  • A full UK driving licence

  • 1 years experience in safeguarding adults or children

  • This post is open to female applicants only as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

The Role:

The overall purpose of this role is to work with families, where there is an ongoing history of domestic abuse to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for families.

 

The skilled and experienced post holder will be dual located, primarily working as part of a multi-agency team (Family Safeguarding Team - FST) sat within social care with agreed time located within the local DA team.

 

The post holder will be responsible for engaging the whole family, to complete needs led assessments, to design and deliver agreed interventions to safeguard adults and children and to broker additional support, where indicated.

The post holder will be confident in their knowledge and responsible for raising awareness of and supporting others in the FST to understand the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and their children.

  • You will be person centred ensuring the service is designed around what matters to clients and that people are in the centre of the support they receive
