Domestic Abuse Worker
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary: £15,786.60pa (£26,311 FTE)
Permanent, Part Time 24hrs

Essential Requirements:
The successful DVA/Flourish worker will have:
- Experience of person-centred service delivery and enabling client involvement
- Knowledge of and commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Ability to put others at ease and work with people in crisis
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends as part of an on-call rota
- 1 Year experience working with adults who have experienced Domestic Abuse or lived experience.
The Role:
The role of DVA/Flourish worker is to work closely with the Behaviour Change Worker supporting partners of those who are seeking the opportunity to change their abusive behaviours and to support Medium risk survivors of Domestic Abuse.
You will work as part of a team providing practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse, in person and over the phone. You will provide a trauma informed, risk led service to include safety planning and advocacy where required. You will complete comprehensive case notes and case file reviews on our system, meeting with managers for case management on a monthly basis.
You will be client centred, flexible and work to a high standard in an inclusive and professional manner.
About You:
- Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent to NVQ level 4 or equivalent work level experience
- Lived, worked or volunteering experience of supporting women, men and children who have been subject to domestic violence and abuse
- Experience of effective multi-agency and partnership working
- Skilled at IT including office packages such as excel, power point and word
- Car driver with willingness to work across the county and to travel beyond occasionally for meetings and training
