Job Title: Children and Young Person’s Domestic Abuse Advocate
Location: Paragon Sussex
Salary: £29,919 FTE (Salary will be pro-rated for part time)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time (2 roles available)

Essential Requirements:
* Must have a driving licence
* At least 1 years’ experience of delivering a service for Children and Young People.
The appointed Children and Young Person’s Domestic Abuse Advocate will:
1. Have experience of engaging with children and young people at risk of domestic abuse.
2. Have experience of engaging with children and young people in the community and in accommodation-based settings.
3. Have an understanding of current issues faced by children and young people experiencing domestic abuse.
The Role:
As a Children and Young Person’s Domestic Abuse Advocate you will design and provide one to one sessions in the community and in accommodation-based settings. You will engage with children and young people at high risk of harm due to domestic abuse, carry out assessments including the CYP Dash Risk Assessment and refer to MARAC and/or safeguarding when required. You will engage with others in the community to raise awareness and develop and deliver education programmes. You will also deliver face to face interventions for those experiencing intimate teen violence and young instigators of domestic abuse.
